This picture represents the more serious side of these games you so take for granted. Yes, Link saved the world, yes, Hyrule is safe from the cluctches of the bad guy, and yes, Link is now able to relax for a change... But what is left afterwards? Zelda returns on to Hyrule Castle, and Ganondorf is defeated. Peace is restored... but...
Midna has left, a vital ally and close friend, gone forever. But wasnt Link's face priceless when she destroyed that mirror? How much does one's heart cost?
Also, all the lives that Link had stolen... monster or not, those were still living creatures. Why did they have to die? For another stupid war? For differences in one's beliefs? Some beasts that lived like normal animals, living to eat and protect themselves from danger. I know that there are quite a few out there who cannot resist to slaughter each and every monster in the area, even if it wasnt quite neccesary. Who knew whether that monster had been gathering food out in Hyrule Field to take home to its babies that would never see their mother again? Do you think Link was proud, or do you think it would finally catch up to him... would leave a bad taste in the hero's mouth...? Another hollow soul in the history of Hyrule's warriors.
On a brighter note, it came out pretty well! I know I could have done better, but it really brought across its point. Its very depressing if you really thought about it, but hey, its yet another fan-generated art piece but yet another Zelda Fan. It is so sad that Midna left...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
